TORONTO: Canada’s main stock fell on Thursday, breaking a five-day winning streak, as the energy and materials groups lost ground, offsetting gains for financial sector shares.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index unofficially closed down 14.34 points, or 0.09 percent, at 16,014.99. Five of the index’s 10 main groups ended lower.
