PARIS: European Union soybean imports in the 2017/18 season that began on July 1 had reached 4.7 million tonnes by Nov. 21, down 9 percent from 5.2 million tonnes imported by the same stage last season, official data showed on Thursday.
For soymeal, cumulative EU imports so far in 2017/18 totalled 7.6 million tonnes, up 10 percent from 6.9 million a year ago.
Palm oil imports stood at 2.45 million tonnes, up 3 percent from 2.38 million a year earlier, the data showed.
