MOSCOW: Russia produced 193.58 tonnes of gold in the first eight months of 2017, up from 179.73 tonnes in the same period last year, the finance ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Production for the period included 158.13 tonnes of mined gold compared with 147.64 tonnes a year ago.
Silver production totalled 688.89 tonnes, up from 682.73 tonnes in the same period of 2016, the ministry added.
