HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks rallied on Monday following a strong lead from Wall Street, where all three main indexes finished at news records on hopes that market-friendly US tax cuts would be passed this week.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.70 percent, or 202.30 points, to close at 29,050.41.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched up 0.05 percent, or 1.78 points, to 3,267.92 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, fell 0.63 percent, or 12.07 points, to 1,889.13.
