CHICAGO: US soymeal spot basis offers for rail and truck markets were generally flat on Wednesday in tranquil activity ahead of the Christmas holiday, dealers said.
Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean meal futures shrugged off recent losses, helped by short-covering and investors evening up positions before the upcoming holiday.
At 12:28 p.m. CST (1828 GMT), CBOT January soymeal futures were up $1.70 at $316.90 a ton.
