CHICAGO: The following is a snapshot of global export markets for grains, oilseeds and edible oils as reported by government and private sources as of the close of business on Wednesday:
WHEAT PURCHASE: Egypt’s state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), said on Wednesday it bought 180,000 tonnes of Russian wheat in a tender.
SOYBEAN SALE: Exporters sell US Soybeans to China – USDA.
PENDING TENDERS:
WHEAT TENDER UPDATE: Wheat from the United States was offered at the lowest price of $283.73 a tonne c&f in Iraq’s tender to purchase a minimum 50,000 tonnes of hard milling wheat, traders said. No purchase has yet been made and offers are still being considered. Offers must remain valid until Dec. 24.
RICE TENDER: South Korea has reissued a tender to buy a total of 38,422 tonnes of non-glutinous rice for arrival in March and April, state-run Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp said on its website Registration for the tenders will close at 4 pm on Dec. 26 and electronic bidding will be held from 10 am to 11 am on Dec. 27.
WHEAT TENDER: Moroccan grains agency ONICL issued a tender to import 363,636 tonnes of soft wheat and 336,364 tonnes of durum wheat from the United States under an annual preferential-tariff quota. The tender will close on Jan. 8, ONICL said in a statement.
CORN TENDER: Iranian state-owned animal feed importer SLAL has issued an international tender to purchase up to 180,000 tonnes of animal feed corn, European traders said. Offers in the tender will be opened on Jan. 23.
