KSIDC to invite international bid for setting up two companies for processing rubber
Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac on Wednesday said the State government decided to exempt rubber products, including latex, from the purview of e-way bill for transportation within the State.
He was intervening in a calling attention motion, moved by CPI(M) member Raju Abraham in the Assembly.
The exemption within the State had been given in view of the problems that might arise in the transportation of rubber products.
Under the current rules, it was mandatory to have e-way bill for transportation of goods beyond a distance of 10 km. Rubber would now be exempted.
