BUKIT MERTAJAM, Oct 31 (Bernama) — Morroco, China and Brunei are interested in sourcing leaves of rubber trees from Malaysia for their handicraft industries, according to the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority.
Its director-general Datuk Wan Mohamad Zuki Mohamad said rubber smallholders in the country stood to gain from the development as the leaves could fetch up to RM300 a kilogramme.
He said this in his speech at a Risda function here Wednesday.
