TOKYO (Reuters) – Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said on Thursday the central bank’s powerful monetary easing has had a significant impact on financial institutions’ profits.
“I don’t see a serious problem emerging in financial intermediation now. But we will closely watch how our policy affects bank profits, financial intermediation and the stability of Japan’s banking system,” Kuroda told parliament.
