HAMBURG: A United Nations aid agency recently purchased about 60,000 tonnes of wheat expected to be sourced from Romania to be shipped to east Africa and Yemen, European traders said on Wednesday.
The wheat was purchased for shipment to Djibouti, Berbera and/or the Yemeni ports of Saleef and Hodeida
It is for loading in the Romanian port of Constanta in April and May, they said.
The final destination will be decided later.
The United Nations has a range of food aid programmes in the regions involved.
