HAMBURG: South Korea’s Korea Corn Processing Industry Association (KOCOPIA) purchased about 60,000 tonnes of corn thought likely to be sourced from the United States in a deal on Friday, European traders said on Monday.
Traders had initially estimated the purchase at 65,000 tonnes.
It was purchased in one consignment at $225.85 a tonne c&f.
The seller was believed to be trading house CJ International, dealers said.
