CHICAGO: Spot basis offers for US soymeal were unchanged at processors in both the rail and truck markets on Friday, dealers said.
Demand from livestock and poultry producers was weak, as most had enough soymeal on hand to last them through the next few days until the May supplies they had previously contracted are delivered, a dealer in the Kansas City area said.
On the export front, CIF bids and FOB offers firmed.
Overseas demand for US soymeal was strong due to shortfalls in the Argentine soy crop.
