The European propylene contract price settled up Eur25 month on month at Eur952/mt FD NWE for May, market sources said Friday.
The spot price was last assessed at Eur943/mt FD NWE Thursday, up from Eur927.50/mt on March 28 when the April CP settled, S&P Global Platts data showed.
An increase in the contract price was forecast earlier this week by Platts propylene indicatorfollowing the recent rise in feedstock naphtha in recent weeks.
The spot price of naphtha was last assessed at $629.25/mt CIF NWE Thursday, up from $593.75/mt on March 28, according to Platts data.
