Spot rubber resumed the upward journey on Wednesday. RSS 4 improved on covering purchases to ₹125 (123) a kg, according to traders. The grade firmed up to ₹124 (123) and ₹120 (119) respectively according to the Rubber Board and the dealers.
June futures flared up to ₹128.47 (126.65), July to ₹131.68 (129.18) and August to ₹132.74 (130.47) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE). RSS 3 (spot) slid to ₹118.54 (119) at Bangkok. May futures inched up to ₹109.55 (109.39) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM). Spot rubber rates (₹/kg) were: RSS-4: 125 (123); RSS-5: 122 (121); ISNR 20: 120 (119.50) and Latex (60% drc): 88 (86.50).
