The rubber market closed mixed in quiet trading Wednesday amid the uptrend on rubber prices on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange, said a dealer.
“There were not much activities in the local market today as some players
stayed on the sidelines due to lack of fresh leads,” the dealer said.
At noon, the Malaysian Rubber Board official physical price for tyre-grade SMR20 rose 1.5 sen to 852.0 a kg but latex-in-bulk remained unchanged at 618.0 sen a kg.
The unofficial sellers’ closing price for tyre-grade SMR20 gained two sen to 852.5 sen a kg and latex-in-bulk remained at 618 sen a kg.
