LONDON: Global coffee exports rose 7.1 percent in April from a year earlier to 10.18 million 60-kg bags, data from the International Coffee Organization (ICO) showed on Friday.
For the first seven months of the 2017/18 season, which began on Oct. 1, coffee exports rose 1.2 percent to total 70.65 million bags.
Arabica coffee exports in April were at 6.24 million bags, 3.1 percent higher than a year earlier.
Cumulative arabica exports for the season to date fell 0.1 percent to 44.57 million bags.
Robusta coffee exports rose 14.1 percent in April from a year earlier to 3.94 million bags.
Cumulative robusta exports for the season to date rose 3.6 percent to 26.08 million bags.
