BEIJING (Reuters) – China reshuffled the central bank monetary policy committee, and named governor Yi Gang as committee chief, the country’s state council said on Friday.
Yi was appointed to replace his predecessor Zhou Xiaochuan, the former central bank governor, who retired early this year.
China also named three new academic members of monetary policy committee of the People’s Bank of China, the state cabinet said on its website.
