London: Europe’s main stock markets slumped at the start of trading on Tuesday, mirroring heavy losses across Asia on global trade war fears.
Shortly after the open, London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index had tumbled 1.1 percent to 7,551.4 points compared with the close on Monday.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX 30 shed 1.7 percent to 12,622.20 points and the Paris CAC 40 retreated 1.3 percent to 5,380.32.
