NEW YORK: The dollar slipped against the yen late on Tuesday following a Bloomberg report that US President Donald Trump is preparing to release a list of an additional $200 billion in Chinese products to be hit with tariffs.
At 5:24 p.m. EDT (2124 GMT), the greenback was 0.02 percent weaker compared with the Japanese currency, which traders favor as a safe-haven asset, at 110.96 yen, according to Reuters data.
