Tokyo: Tokyo stocks fell for a third straight trading day on Monday as the yen firmed against the dollar after US President Donald Trump accused China and the European Union of manipulating their currencies.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index lost 1.33 percent or 300.89 points to close at 22,396.99, while the broader Topix index was down 0.36 percent or 6.28 points at 1,738.70.
