KOTTAYAM, MAY 4:
Spot rubber finished firm on Saturday. The weekend session was comparatively more active following a better closing on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
Sheet rubber improved to Rs 164.50 (163.50) a kg, according to traders. The grade increased to Rs 164 (163) a kg at Kottayam and Kochi, according to Rubber Board.
In futures, the May series improved to Rs.166.95 (164.87), June to Rs.167.20 (164.97), July to Rs.165.00 (162.75) and August to Rs.163.50 (161.01) per kg on the NMCE.
Spot rubber (Rs/kg) were: RSS-4: 164.50 (163.50); RSS-5: 161 (160); Ungraded: 155 (154); ISNR 20: 155 (155); and Latex 60%: 103.50 (103.50).
