ROTTERDAM: Soymeal on the european meals and feeds market eased on Thursday on worries that an escalating trade dispute between the US and the world’s top soy importer China could crimp demand.
Expectations of a bumper US soybean harvest also weighed.
South American soymeal was offered between unchanged and $1 and $5 a tonne lower, also tracking last night’s weaker CBOT soymeal futures close on the back of US/China trade war woes.
EU rapemeal was quoted between one and four euros per tonne down from Wednesday, tracking the weaker tone in soymeal and pressured by technical weakness in rapeseed futures.
