HONG KONG: Shares tumbled in Hong Kong and Shanghai Monday, reversing a surge at the end of last week after Donald Trump’s top economics advisor downplayed the chances of a quick deal to end the China-US trade war.
The Hang Seng Index sank 2.65 percent, or 701.15 points, to 25,785.20.
The Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.00 percent, or 26.64 points, to 2,649.84.
