PARIS: European Union soft wheat exports in the 2018/19 season that started on July 1 had reached 5.4 million tonnes by Nov. 4, down 24 percent from 7.1 million tonnes by the same stage last season, official data from the European Commission showed on Monday.
EU 2018/19 barley exports had reached 1.9 million tonnes, down 4 percent compared with a year-earlier 2.0 million tonnes, the data showed.
EU 2018/19 maize imports stood at 5.95 million tonnes, up 14 percent from 5.2 million tonnes a year earlier.
