India: Spot rubber ends firm

Spot rubber finished firm on Wednesday. RSS 4 improved to ₹120.50 (120) a kg, according to traders and the Rubber Board. The market regained strength on short covering but the volumes continued to remain low. December futures flared up to ₹125 (122.77) on the Indian Commodity Exchange (ICEX). RSS 3 (spot) improved to ₹99.48 (98.37) at Bangkok. December futures firmed up to ₹93.41 (91.29) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM). Spot rubber rates (₹/kg) were: RSS-4: 120.50 (120); RSS-5: 117 (116); ISNR 20: 111 (110.50) and Latex (60% drc): 86 (85.50).
