BKT has announced an important order in the OTR sector, with the supply of 42 giant EARTHMAX SR 468 tyres, in the 40.00 R 57 size, to SECL (South Eastern Coalfields Ltd.). This is a mining company owned by the Indian Government’s Ministry of Coal.
The first batch of 6 tyres made for SECL has already been shipped, while further 2 batches will reach the customer within a week.
This is an important milestone which consolidates BKT’s position in the mining sector, confirming the group as a key player for the OTR industry.
EARTHMAX SR 468 is the 57″ tyre – the largest ever made by BKT – manufactured at the BKT plant in Bhuj, India, designed to equip rigid dump trucks operating in the most hostile conditions.
This huge tyre is characterised by being particularly resistant to attacks and punctures, thanks to the all steel structure and it is therefore suitable, for rough and muddy terrain. Winning features of the EARTHMAX SR 468 are the special tread design and its compound, both created to limit the heat generated. The E-4 tread depth provides extreme resistance in highly challenging conditions.
This order, featuring this exceptionally sized tyre, rewards the group’s willingness to enter and invest in the giant segment, a choice driven by the requests and feedback, which the brand receives directly from users every day.
With its offer of over 2,700 tyres, BKT will therefore continue to develop new solutions in this segment too in order to meet all the needs and requirements of professionals in the industry.
