China Petroleum and Chemical Corp., or Sinopec, Monday increased its ex-works price for linear low density polyethylene in East China by Yuan 200/mt ($32.36/mt), or 1.8%, to Yuan 11,400/mt, a company source said.
The new price is equivalent to $1,480/mt on an import parity basis.
The company also raised low density polyethylene ex-work prices by Yuan 100/mt to Yuan 12,300/mt Monday, the source added. This is equivalent to $1,597/mt on an import parity basis.
The LLDPE and LDPE prices were last raised by Yuan 200/mt to Yuan 11,200/mt and Yuan 12,200/mt, respectively, last Thursday.
