Zhongce Rubber Group Co., Ltd. (ZC Rubber) has announced that its new Indonesian subsidiary, PT. Matahari Tire Indonesia (MTI), has successfully produced its first all-steel radial tyre. This milestone was celebrated with an official ceremony at the MTI factory located in the Kendal Industrial Park, Semarang, Indonesia.
To commemorate this occasion, ZC Rubber Chairman Mr. Shen Jinrong, alongside other company leaders, signed the first all-steel radial tyre produced at the MTI plant, marking a pivotal step forward for the company’s operations in Indonesia and its global aspirations.
MTI’s state-of-the-art factory, covering 500,000 square metres, plays a vital role in ZC Rubber’s global expansion strategy. Located in a region rich in natural rubber resources, the facility is equipped with cutting-edge digital technology and staffed by a highly skilled workforce. While still in the ramp-up phase, the production of the first tyre marks significant progress toward meeting growing demand for high-quality tyres in both local and international markets, including the United States.
Mr. Wang Xianning, Vice President of ZC Rubber and General Manager of MTI, highlighted the significance of the achievement: “In just 233 days, we went from groundbreaking to the first tyre off the line. This rapid progress sets a new benchmark for overseas tyre plant construction and demonstrates our team’s dedication and expertise.”
ZC Rubber’s investment in Indonesia not only provides access to vital raw materials but also strengthens its global supply chain. The facility is poised to serve both local needs and support ZC Rubber’s international market expansion, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainable development.
