Point S Tyre & Autocare, the UK’s leading independent tyre dealer and car maintenance network, has announced significant changes to its leadership team as part of its ambitious plans for 2025 and beyond.
Ali Yilmaz has been appointed as the network’s new UK Managing Director. Owing to Yilmaz’s proven expertise in strategic planning, market expansion, and driving business success, as well as his expertise in fleet development and operational leadership, the appointment has reinforced Point S’s commitment to empowering its independent members and driving the sustained growth of their businesses.
Outlining his vision for the future, Yilmaz is focused on engaging with the network’s members to provide tailored solutions to ensure their continued development. Leveraging his extensive experience in fleet operations, he is committed to enhancing fleet opportunities across the network to differentiate the services offered by members. Aligning with the business’ ethos of offering global backing to its local members, Yilmaz will utilise Point S’s global expertise and connections to support the network’s members in the UK.
Boasting a wealth of experience in the automotive and tyre sectors, as well as in business growth strategy and brand development, Yilmaz joins Point S after almost eight years at Pirelli/Prometeon Tyre Group. Yilmaz most recently held the post of Head of Fleet Development – Europe and MEA, following a successful term as the business’ UK Managing Director.
Having developed a deep expertise in establishing targeted business strategies tailored to the unique requirements of the automotive industry, Yilmaz is well positioned to lead Point S into its next phase of growth. The business has ambitious plans for 2025 and beyond, prioritising growth of the network and positioning its members as industry leaders in consumer and fleet automotive services.
Yilmaz’s appointment follows Wayne Daniel’s promotion to Point S’s Board of Directors. In eight years as UK Network Operations Manager, Daniel has played a pivotal role in steering the network’s growth, expanding its member base to become the largest independent tyre dealer and car maintenance network in the UK. On the network’s Board of Directors, his role will be to continue to contribute to strategic projects and provide support to Yilmaz and the Point S UK team.
In addition, Andy Tester has been promoted to Business Development Manager, while Ben Herridge has taken on his previous role of Regional Sales Manager (South).
