Heuver Tyres has successfully completed the construction of its new warehouse in Hardenberg. With this 16,000 m² expansion, Heuver Tyres now has a total storage capacity of no less than 61,000 m² in Hardenberg. This enables Heuver to offer its customers an even wider range of stock, in addition to serving customers even faster and more efficiently.
Optimal stock and faster logistics
Bertus Heuver, Managing Director Heuver Group, proudly looks at the latest expansion: ‘Our growth in recent years has been unprecedented. Therefore we are delighted that we now have even more space to keep a wide stock, work more efficiently and thus increase our delivery speed. With 12 additional loading docks and the extra space, we can further optimise our logistics process and offer customers direct access to an extensive range, from premium to private labels. This fits perfectly with our Stock & Delivery and Assortment propositions: thanks to ample stock and efficient logistics, we can supply our customers with the right tyres and wheels even faster. This way, we not only guarantee availability, but also the flexibility our customers need to continue their work without delay.’
Prepared for the future
Kasper Olimulder, Director of Operations at Heuver Tyres, stresses the importance of this expansion: ‘This new warehouse allows us to continue to fulfil our growth ambitions. The space allows us to work more efficiently and serve our customers even better. Moreover, this warehouse is built according to the latest sustainability standards, matching our long-term vision.’
Sustainability as a key priority
During the construction of the new warehouse, Heuver Tyres implemented strong sustainability ambitions. In line with the GPR Building certification, and with a clear focus on the future, the new hall is equipped with sustainable solutions such as:
Energy-efficient lighting with a maximum installed capacity of 4 W/m²
Extensive insulation of the floor, façade and roof to minimise heat loss
Sustainable use of timber, with over 95% of the applied wood sourced from sustainably managed forests
Water-saving facilities, such as sensor taps and flush interrupters in the sanitary areas
Nature-inclusive construction, including integrated nesting stones for birds and bats, as well as the use of green roofs and façades
With these measures, Heuver Tyres actively contributes to energy efficiency, the circular economy and biodiversity, in line with the company’s sustainability strategy.
Olimulder underlines the importance of this sustainable approach: “Sustainability is an integral part of our operations. With this new warehouse, we are taking a major step towards reducing our ecological footprint. By implementing energy-efficient and circular solutions, we not only improve the efficiency of our operations, but also contribute to a greener future.”
International reach continues to grow
In addition to the vast storage capacity in Hardenberg, Heuver also operates warehouses in Neuenmarkt (Germany) and Lyon (France). The latter was significantly expanded last year to further strengthen the company’s ability to deliver on its customer promises in the French market.
