Opposition chief whip Jurin Laksanavisit on Tuesday submitted an urgent motion to government via Deputy House Speaker Charoen Chankomol, to be discussed at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Aug 29.
The motion, signed by 73 Democrat Party MPs, relates to how the government plans to address problems with the low price of rubber and palm oil, and the corresponding high cost of living.
Mr Jurin called for Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to attend the House meeting to listen to an explanation of the issues and help find solutions.
Mr Charoen said he would coordinate with government whips, the prime minister and related ministers over the matter.
