The NDI Group has delivered its best financial result in the 50-year history of the company with a profit of 11 million Euro after tax.
Last year, the NDI Group turned a deficit into profit with a financial result of 5 million euros after taxes, and the positive development has continued in the financial year of 2020/2021. Here, the profit increased to 11 million Euro – the best result in the company’s history.
“We are delighted with the result that is the best we have had so far. We see it as a confirmation that we are well on our way. I want to express my deepest gratitude to our skillful employees on behalf of the family, board, and management. They have worked very hard in a demanding year and played a crucial role in succeeding with this result,” says the CEO at the NDI Group, René Kristensen.
Focus on profitability and optimisation
Among the factors that have contributed to the good result, René Kristensen, among others, mention the strategic focus on cost and optimisation and the fact that the NDI Group was able to deliver in a troubled market.
“Following our 2024-strategy, we have had a strong focus on optimising our business and increasing our profitability. Even though we had many challenges to handle due to the consequences that the coronavirus had on global supply chains, we have been able to deliver in the market struggling with shortages.” he says.
Specialised rims in high demand
The export department of the NDI Group also experienced much growth in the financial year of 2020/2021. According to the export manager in the agricultural department, Carsten Andersen, the rim factory broke a new record in production and deliveries.
“We manage to break our record in production and deliveries. The export market grew a lot because we had the advantage that we could deliver and produce normally, as we had ensured the delivery of raw materials to our factory. Now we are also expanding our production, and we can still deliver to our export markets. So we look forward to the year to come.” he says.
Safe delivery for export customers
At the automotive department of the NDI Group, the export manager Gregers Lindvig also looks back at a positive year and looks at the future with a positive mind:
“We have a great collaboration with our logistics and transport partners that helped us ensure stable deliveries to our export customers. Our private label tyre brand Nordexx also sold very well. So I also look forward to the new year in which we will continue to focus on ensuring safe deliveries to our customers and expand our collaboration with online tyre sales platforms around the world,” he says.
