KOTTAYAM, SEPT. 21:
Physical rubber prices finished weak on Saturday. Sheet rubber declined to Rs 183 (185.50) a kg, both at Kottayam and Kochi, according to traders and the Rubber Board. According to market circles, the prices lost ground mainly on buyer resistance amidst extremely low volumes.
October futures concluded at Rs 179.35 (Rs 179.24), November at Rs 179 (Rs 179.43), December at Rs 180.50 (Rs 181.36) and January at Rs 183.99 (Rs 185.25) for RSS 4 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
Spot rubber rates (at Rs/kg) were: RSS-4: 183 (185.5); RSS-5: 179 (181); Ungraded: 173 (175); ISNR 20: 170 (172) and Latex 60%: 138.5 (138.5).
