KOTTAYAM, NOV. 18:
Domestic rubber futures finished weak on Monday.
The December contracts declined to Rs 157.90 (Rs 158.57), January to Rs 160(Rs 160.74), February to Rs 162.50 (Rs 167.05) and March to Rs 166.36 (Rs 173.29) per kg for RSS 4 on National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
RSS 3 (spot) weakened to Rs 157.31 (Rs 158.40) per kg at Bangkok. The November futures dropped to ¥ 248.6 (Rs 155.10) from ¥ 249.2 a kg during the day’s session but then remained inactive in the night session on Tokyo Commodity Exchange.
The benchmark TOCOM rubber futures dropped as declines in other financial markets dented sentiments towards the soft commodity.
Physical rubber prices were not available owing to a 12-hour hartal from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the State.
