* TURMERIC futures ended lower tracking spot prices in Telangana’s Nizamabad market and due to sluggish demand from bulk buyers, said Vikas Nagla, a trader in Nizamabad, Telangana.
* In Nizamabad, the benchmark market, the new crop finger variety was quoted at 7,400-7,800 rupees per 100 kg, while the bulb variety was sold at 6,800-7,200 rupees per 100 kg, both down by 200 rupees from Monday. Arrivals were pegged at 18,000 bags (1 bag = 65 kg) today compared with 30,000 bags on previous day.
