KRAIBURG Austria concludes the business year 2021 with a pleasing growth. The retreading specialist registered a turnover of 75.5 million Euro. This represents a 13 per cent increase in comparison with the previous year. Both the hotcured compounds as well as the precured retreads K_base, K_plus and K_tech achieved a considerable sales and turnover plus. The high-performance compounds in the hot segment recorded an overproportionally strong development. The Upper Austrian company basically scored high marks with their products and service not only in the key market, Germany, but also achieved sustainable growths in Southern Europe (Italy, Spain), in Central Europe (Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland) and Scandinavia (Sweden).
Stay alert, take your chances and expand the environmental strategy
“Against the background of the demanding logistics situation, the limited availability of raw materials, the exploding energy costs as well as the general pandemic-related restrictions, we are more than pleased with the result,” Stefan Mayrhofer, Managing Director of KRAIBURG Austria explains. “We will continue to keep a watchful eye on all developments and challenges in 2022.” The aim will be to make the best of the chances and provide the usual individual and cooperative support to the customers, the retread companies. “The demand for retread tyres is still good,” Holger Düx, Sales Manager at KRAIBURG Austria adds. “Due to delivery bottlenecks, the availability of cheap Asian tyres on the one hand and certain new tyre models on the other hand is still reduced. Our goal is to win new users of KRAIBURG quality tyres as regular customers.” Those who rely on tyres from KRAIBURG follow not only a quality but also a sustainable course. This awareness has always been part of KRAIBURG Austria’s DNA – and is reflected in the meantime in a comprehensive environmental strategy which the EMAS-certified company is expanding this year.
