KOTTAYAM, FEBRUARY 8:
Spot rubber ended firm on Saturday. Sentiments were catalysed by the Kerala Government’s decision to procure rubber at Rs 1 above the market price.
Sheet rubber improved to Rs 144.50 (Rs 144) a kg, according to traders and the Rubber Board. The grade was quoted at Rs 141.50 (Rs 141) by dealers. The trend was mixed.
February futures improved to Rs 146.51 (Rs 144.43), March to Rs 149.49 (Rs 146.69), April to Rs 152.40 (Rs 149.05), May to Rs 155 (Rs 151.64) and June to Rs 154.01(Rs 153.23) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates Rs /kg: RSS-4: 144.50 (144); RSS-5: 142.50 (142); Ungraded: 140 (140); ISNR 20: 141 (141) and Latex 60%: 117 (117).
