An ‘energetic, focused and highly respected’ aftermarket expert has strengthened Autogem’s sales team at the perfect time, to coincide with one of the busiest periods in the company’s history.
The award winning automotive suppliers have appointed Richard Neads as Business Development Manager for the South West.
The 36-year-old has worked in the trade since the age of 18 and arrives with experience at Vauxhall Motors, Euro Car Parts and Spartan Motor Factors, where he worked as business development manager, parts advisor and assistant manager, respectively.
He already has a broad understanding of the business and its solutions, having sold various products when working with one of Autogem’s biggest distributors. His arrival coincides with a number of exciting new initiatives and product announcements in the pipeline.
Richard said: “Autogem is such a respected brand and their solutions have always been amongst the most advanced in the industry. Not only do their products speak for themselves, but the company is extremely progressive with one eye on the future.
“The reputation that underpins Autogem’s TPMS programme is second-to-none, while their round-the-clock support and training package is also highly regarded across the aftermarket. It is exciting to be a part of the team and such an amazing business.”
Richard was born in South Africa and moved to the UK at the age of 18, where he has worked in the motor industry ever since.
“I really think that this role suits me best, as I love interacting with customers and providing them with the tools they need to make their lives easier. I view myself as being extremely reliable and I get a great amount of satisfaction from supporting my contacts – many of whom I’ve developed relationships with over many years.”
Autogem’s Managing Director Prashant Chopra said: “Richard joins us at the perfect time, as we are creating more opportunities than ever through our investment in new solutions and also our inaugural TPMS Expert competition, which is generating a great deal of interest.
