KUALA LUMPUR: Local rubber prices surged yesterday to close higher following a strong technical rebound on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange, a dealer said.
At noon, the Malaysian Rubber Board’s official physical price for tyre-grade SMR20 advanced by 20.5 sen to end the day at 609.5 sen a kg, while latex-in-bulk added one sen to 477.5 sen a kg.
The unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR20 gained 16 sen to close at 605 sen a kg, while latex-in-bulk earned 1.5 sen to 478 sen. Bernama
