KUALA LUMPUR (March 05): The rubber price on the Malaysian rubber market closed higher today, on the stronger rebound of Tokyo Commodity Exchange prices, a dealer said.
He said that the higher price was also contributed by higher opening prices on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE).
At noon, the Malaysian Rubber Board’s official physical price for tyre-grade SMR20, gained 11 sen to 622 sen a kg, while latex-in-bulk was four sen better, at 479.5 sen a kg.
The unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR20, went up 13 sen to 625.5 sen a kg, while latex-in-bulk increased 12 sen to 476 sen a kg.
