KUALA LUMPUR (March 18): Rubber prices on the Malaysian rubber market closed lower today, on lack of demand for the commodity, dealers said.
A dealer said, the trend was also in sync with the performances on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange rubber contracts and Shanghai Futures Exchange.
At noon, the Malaysian Rubber Board’s official physical price for tyre-grade SMR20, fell 12.5 sen to 622 sen a kg, and latex-in-bulk eased 2.5 sen to 492 sen a kg.
The unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR20, lost 3.5 sen to 620.5 sen a kg, and latex-in-bulk was a sen lower, at 492 sen a kg.
