Physical rubber prices were mixed on Tuesday. The absence of genuine buyers continued to keep local sentiments under pressure and most counters finished lower amidst scattered transactions. The only gainer of the day was latex, which continued to improve on acute short supplies.
Sheet rubber was unchanged at ₹148 a kg, according to traders and the Rubber Board. The grade finished steady at ₹145 as reported by the dealers.
RSS 3 (spot) dropped to ₹136.80 (₹137.89) at Bangkok. April futures closed at ¥244.3 (₹142.91) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates ₹/kg were: RSS-4: 148 (148); RSS-5: 143.50 (144); Ungraded: 139 (140); ISNR 20: 139 (140) and Latex 60%: 119 (118).
