KUALA LUMPUR (April 17): Malaysian rubber prices closed lower today, as Thailand’s revised output for the soft commodity exceeded earlier forecast, a trader said.
The noon benchmark on Malaysian Rubber Board official physical price for tyre-grade SMR 20, fell two sen to 580 sen a kg, while latex-in-bulk was eight sen lower, at 471 sen a kg.
The 5pm unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR 20 eased 4 sen to 577.5 sen a kg, while latex-in-bulk dropped 4.5 sen to 468.5 sen a kg.
