Investing.com — U.S. oil stockpiles fell by more than expected last week, the Energy Information Administration said on Thursday.
Crude oil inventories fell by 5.068 million barrels last week, compared with analysts’ expectations for a draw of 1.35 million barrels.
Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, fell by 0.530 million barrels in the week against expectations for a build of 0.990 million barrels, the EIA data showed. The data were released a day later than usual because of the U.S. market holiday on Monday.
Gasoline inventories fell by 0.711 million barrels last week, the EIA said, compared with expectations for a build of 0.533 million barrels.
