Spot rubber was mixed on Wednesday. Major counters ruled unchanged amidst scattered transactions, while latex finished higher on comparatively better demand.
According to market circles, it was difficult to find out a quantity buyer or seller in the local trading houses. Sheet rubber was quoted steady at ₹145.50 a kg by traders.
The grade firmed up to ₹145.50 (₹145) and ₹142.50 (₹142) respectively, according to the Rubber Board and dealers.
June futures closed at ₹142.60 (₹143.01), July at ₹144.30 (₹144.70), August at ₹142.50 (₹142.40), September at ₹141.70 (₹141.44) and October at ₹140.75 (₹140.82) while the rubber mini June futures declined to ₹141 (₹143.01) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
RSS 3 (spot) improved to ₹122.91 (₹121.22) at Bangkok. June futures closed at ¥189.3 (₹109.96) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/kg) were: RSS-4: 145.50 (145.50); RSS-5: 141.50 (141.50); Ungraded: 137 (137); ISNR 20: 132 (132.50) and Latex 60%: 123.50 (122).
