The General Grabber AT3 has been approved as the original equipment tyre for the top models of the seventh Isuzu D-MAX generation. The 4×4 tyre is thus the exclusive original equipment for the highly specialized Isuzu D-Max LSE Extended Cab and Double Cab models on 18-inch tyres, as well as for the D-MAX V Cross Double Cab derivatives in the flagship luxury equipment version.
The Grabber AT3, which is available in size 265/60 R18 110 H, is an SUV tyre that can be driven 50 percent on the road and 50 percent off-road. This reflects the versatility and wide range of uses that the Isuzu D-MAX vehicles enable.
“The General Tire Grabber AT has been original equipment for the Isuzu Double Cabin versions for seven years now and we are proud that our current Grabber AT3 has once again been chosen for the 18-inch rims of the new Isuzu D-MAX,” says Martin Buday, managing director of Continental Tyre South Africa. “The tyres we produce here enjoy a high market share in the important OE segment as we supply most of the local OEMs with our leading Continental and General Tire products. This is a sign of the confidence that the OEMs have in the performance, safety and quality of our tyres.”
The General Tire Grabber AT3 has earned top rankings in tests conducted by independent magazines. It is available in an extensive range from 15 to 22-inch sizes and with standard or light truck (LT) specifications. The latter are designed for more heavy-duty applications and additional load requirements. Vehicle owners can also choose a number of sizes that feature white lettering to satisfy the increasing demand from 4×4 and SUV owners who favor this typical all-wheel drive sidewall design.
