KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian rubber market closed slightly lower today on weak external sentiment, a dealer said.
The dealer said International Rubber Consortium (IRCo) chief executive YiumTavarolit has commented he expects natural rubber prices to move in a narrow range this week as market fundamentals and sentiment remain unchanged.
At close, the Malaysian Rubber Board’s official physical price for tyre-grade SMR 20 slipped 1.5 sen to 526 sen a kg, while latex-in-bulk depreciated three sen to 446 sen a kg.
The unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR 20 increased two sen to 528 sen a kg, but latex-in-bulk eased 2.5 sen to 445 sen a kg.– Bernama
