Spot rubber prices were steady on Monday. The market lost its direction amidst scattered transactions following yet another weak closing on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. Sheet rubber closed unchanged at ₹130 a kg, according to traders. The grade slid to ₹130 (₹130.50) and ₹127 (₹127.50) respectively, as quoted by the Rubber Board and dealers. The September futures weakened to ₹127.55 (₹129.05), October to ₹126.89 (₹128.59) on the NMCE. RSS 3 (spot) declined to ₹110.67 (₹113.09) at Bangkok. August futures closed at ¥183.1 (₹108.70) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/kg): RSS-4: 130 (130); RSS-5: 126 (126); Ungraded: 120 (120); ISNR 20: 111.50 (111.50) and Latex 60%: 99 (100).
