Tocom RSS3 rubber futures are higher as the yen weakens, with Tocom prices breaching the Y200/kg psychological level in the night session.
As overall sentiment is still weak with rubber fundamentals little changed, some traders are skeptical over the longevity of Tocom’s gains; “they will be short-lived,” says a trader in Thailand. Benchmark January rubber trades Y2.1 higher at Y201.4/kg.
