Rubber prices extend losses
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian rubber prices extended their losses yesterday on a stronger ringgit and worries of a slowdown in economic growth in top buyer China and lower crude oil prices, a dealer said.
The noon benchmark Malaysian Rubber Board’s official physical price for tyre-grade SMR 20 eased one sen to 455 sen a kg while latex-in-bulk shed 1.5 sen to 372 sen a kg.
The 5pm unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR 20 eased 0.7 sen to 454.50 sen a kg while latex-in-bulk dwindled 1.5 sen to 371 sen a kg. Bernama
